Troubleshooting Guide for Common Issues in Welding Fume Purifier Maintenance

Device Overheating:

1. If the fan is abnormally hot, check for any unusual noises, blockages in the hoses or suction hoods, and whether the filter cartridge cleaning is functioning properly. The solution is to first inspect the fan bearings for damage. If the fan is operating normally, continue to check for blockages, promptly clear any obstructions and accumulated dust, and ensure good ventilation.

2. If the device surface is overheating, consider whether high-temperature welding slag has been sucked in, potentially causing spontaneous combustion inside the device.

Automatic Shutdown:

There are two possible reasons for an emergency stop:

1. The temperature is too high and has reached the alarm value, causing the device to stop operating.

2. A circuit issue causing the circuit breaker to trip.

Excessive Noise:

First, identify the source of the noise to clarify the direction of the inspection:

1. If there is noise due to device vibration, check if the purifier is placed steadily and if there are any loose screws.

2. If the fan noise increases, check if the fan outlet is blocked, causing wind noise.

3. If there is a back-pulse noise, the device has a pulse back-pulse function that operates based on the blockage of the filter cartridges. The noise during back-pulse is the sound of compressed air, which is a normal occurrence.

Routine Maintenance:

Regularly inspect the power cord for signs of aging, damaged or loose plugs, whether the junction between the hose and the device is sealed well, if there is any damage to the hose, and whether the filter cartridge pressure differential is normal.

Filter Cartridge Maintenance:

Check the pressure differential of the filter cartridges every shift and choose to back-pulse when the machine is stopped for better cleaning results. Monthly, inspect the wear and tear of the filter cartridges and replace them with new ones when necessary to ensure the device's work efficiency.

Seal Integrity Check:

After replacing new filter cartridges, you can also check the seal of the welding fume purifier. If there is any air leakage, it should be dealt with promptly.

Back-Pulse Cleaning System:

Inspect the cleaning system and manually perform cleaning when the machine is stopped to determine if the cleaning system is functioning properly. Any abnormalities should be addressed in a timely manner.
